Oh my!

Our little angel... seven years old... second grade.

SUSPENDED!

Yes, that is suspended from school.

At seven years old.

That's my little angel.

Third write up in a month.  All for anger issues.  This time she kicked a ball hard into a boy... well, you know where.  She didn't get suspended for that, it was running away and hiding while a teacher was trying to talk to her.

We have our work cut out with one.  So bright and creative, but so angry too.

Makes you really stop and think about things.  We are trying to be calmer around the house with the expectation from the children to be the same.

And lots of prayers.

Oh Robin, I am sorry. You know this is one of those things you will laugh about in the future, but of course it isn't very funny now. On the bright side, at least you know this girl knows how to defend herself!

Bwahahaha!!! I agree with the above poster......someday you will laugh at this cause that it DANG funny and in a few years.....I will be right there with you!!! This is the way I try to look at it(once I've calmed down long enough that is.....) with my "strong willed" girls (as I choose to call them) :) lol

Heavenly Father is putting stronger and stronger spirits down on this earth so that they will be able to lead in the the future. Our job is just to somehow curb that "strongness" and "enthusiasm" aka....stubbornness/pain in the "butt-ness" WITHOUT dampening their strong spirit and hope and pray they end up going where they are supposed to. You are doing a great job Robin! You're an AMAZING Mom. And just a question for you.....WHY on earth would they suspend a kid for running away and hiding??? They doesn't really make much sense.......it means she was scared......

Marcie... she ran away because she didn't want to get in trouble. She knew that she was wrong when she didn't listen to the PE coach. She made a choice and it was the wrong one. We think she has learned from it, and I am glad that she was found quickly. They have a forgiveness policy in her school and that is what they utilize when things are done wrong by children. She will get there and I am grateful they work with her.

By the way... it was her 3rd write up in a month, so that contributed to the suspension.

Hey I got suspended twice in elementary school and once in high school and I have an MBA from Pepperdine so I am sure she will be fine.-Mr. Finn
